We recently learned of the growing number of homeless families across the Fort Bend County area. According to a study completed by the University of Texas, there are more than 6,000 homeless people in this one county each year – nearly half are children.

This edition of our Community Partnership Spotlight belongs to Fort Bend Family Promise. With campuses in both Missouri City and Rosenberg, this non-profit organization was founded in 2005 and has been dedicated to helping countless families that have been impacted by common challenges such as job loss, illness, injury, foreclosure, divorce and natural disaster. Through community partnerships, they are able to provide temporary housing, food and other necessities for these families.

In January, Modern Vintage Home Care provided key items to help stock their Day Center. This area of operation allows families to store their belongings, wash clothing, and obtain food and other necessities. Our donation will help them care for the many families throughout the month of February and beyond.

Just when you think you don’t have much to give, this organization will prove to you how far a small gift can go for a family in dire need. We are extremely proud to partner with Fort Bend Family Promise, and we look forward to future partnership opportunities!
